Arti, Makna dan Penggunaan Kata Kerja Outshine

Dalam bahasa Inggris, kata kerja outshine memiliki makna “bersinar lebih terang dari…” atau arti yang berupa perumpamaan yaitu “menyaingi/tampil lebih cemerlang daripada…,” dan penggunaanya menggunakan obyek (transitive verb). Kata kerja ini memiliki bentuk tak beraturan (irregular verb), dengan bentuk kedua dan ketiganya sama-sama outshone.  Jika Anda menggunakan kata outshine dalam maknanya sebagai “menyaingi/tampil lebih cemerlang daripada…,” ada beberapa sinonim seperti exceed, outmatch, outperform, outstrip, dan surpass.
