Cara Penggunaan dan Contoh Kalimat dengan Kata Kerja Shoe

Kata shoe dalam bahasa Inggris bukan hanya bermakna “sepatu.” Jika digunakan sebagai kata kerja, shoe bermakna “memasangkan sepatu pada…” atau “memasang lempengan pelindung pada permukaan….” Kata kerja ini biasanya digunakan bersama obyek, dan biasanya digunakan dalam konteks berkuda (misalnya “memasang sepatu kuda pada kuda”/to shoe the horses). Bentuk kedua dan ketiga kata kerja shoe bisa sama-sama shoed, atau shod.

Verb 1:

Contoh 1: Simple present tense

• The cowboy always shoes his favorite horse before riding it for cattle herding work.

Contoh 2: Simple future tense (will+ Verb 1)

• Tony will shoe his body with metal plates for the Middle-age battle reenactment show.
  Tony akan melapisi tubuhnya dengan pelat-pelat besi untuk pertunjukan reka ulang perang Abad Pertengahan.

  Ibuku memasang sepatu bot kulit kecil pada anjing kami untuk pesta Halloween.

Contoh 1: Present perfect tense

• My father has shoed the corners of the kitchen table with safety foam for my baby brother.
  Ayahku telah melapisi ujung-ujung meja dapur dengan busa pengaman untuk adik bayiku.

Contoh 1: Present continuous tense

Contoh 2: Past continuous tense

• The smith was shoeing the blade sheath with leather and silver ornaments.
  Pandai besi itu sedang melapisi sarung belati dengan kulit dan ornamen perak.

Contoh 3: Present perfect continuous tense

• I have been shoeing the ponies in the carnival when one of them suddenly got afraid and ran away.
